WI Parents of Blind Children is a division of the National Federation of the Blind of Wisconsin (NFBWI). The mission is to achieve widespread emotional acceptance and intellectual understanding that the real problem of blindness is not the loss of eyesight but the misconceptions and lack of information, which exist. The Wisconsin Parents of Blind Children embraces that philosophy and offers its support to the families, educators and friends of blind/visually impaired children who share that goal.
