Scholarship details
The National Federation of the Blind of Wisconsin is offering a $1,500 scholarship to a qualified student who will be attending college full-time in fall 2026. The student must be a Wisconsin resident who is legally blind.
The scholarship winner will receive sponsorship to attend both our state convention in Madison, Wisconsin March 27-29, and our national convention in Austin, Texas July 3-8. The winner will also receive the $1,500 scholarship at the start of the fall 2026 semester.
The scholarship winner will have the opportunity to network with blind students, successful blind professionals, federal officials, members of Congress, and manufacturers of new technology while attending our conventions.
The National Federation of the Blind of Wisconsin will cover transportation, hotel accommodations, and meal stipends for both conventions. To receive the scholarship, the winner must attend and fully participate in both conventions.
Application process
To apply, complete the online application and email all of the requested documents to Scholarship Coordinator Chelsea Dallin at reillych3184@gmail.com no later than Feb 23. Please submit all documents in an accessible format whenever possible.

We will evaluate applicants based on academic achievement, personal accomplishments, and community service. Candidates will be contacted to schedule a telephone interview. Previous recipients can apply again.
The winner will be contacted March 1 and must be able to attend both our state convention in Madison, Wisconsin March 27-29, and our national convention in Austin , Texas July 3-8.
